Gifted and Talented Pupils at Hall Mead

Welcome to the new Gifted and Talented website.

At Hall Mead we are fully committed to the Every Child Matters ethos. Gifted and Talented pupils play just one part of that.

Pupils are identified by a combination of teacher nomination, Key Stage 2 SAT level and standard test results.

The Gifted and Talented corhort is split into 2 sections.

Gifted - Pupils who display a natural ability or flair within an academic subject, for instance, science, English etc. There is a limit of 10% of Gifted pupils in the cohort permitted on the register.
Talented - Pupils who are identified as being particularly able in creative subjects such as Art, Drama, P.E etc. There is no limit to the number of pupils permitted on the register that are identified as talented.

This site contains information for parents and pupils. There are tasks for Key Stage 3 pupils and curriculem information relating to Key Stage 4.

We aim to include some examples of pupil work as the tasks are completed as well as individual pupil achievements.
