Task 1

This is a series of three sequential challenges, which could take three hours or more if all are attempted (one to two hours per challenge). The context is based around a scenario where the Earth is being threatened by an asteroid collision predicted for 25 years in the future.

Task 2

Your task is to design the house of the future. This house will make use of all the current and new renewable energy resources and not use fossil fuels.

The house will need to be affordable so appliances and technologies used in the house must be available to the average person in Britain

You can either design a poster that will illustrate the key parts of the house or build a model of the house. A report explaining the benefits of your house should also be included.
